Processing Charges

Article Processing Charges (APC)

To sustain the journal's operations, ensure high-quality production standards, and maintain open access to all content, TJELLS charges an Article Processing Charge (APC) of INR 1500 per accepted manuscript [7].

What the APC covers:

  • Rigorous peer review management and editorial processing
  • Professional copyediting and language review
  • XML and metadata preparation for indexing databases
  • DOI registration and persistent identifier assignment
  • Long-term digital preservation and archiving
  • Website hosting and maintenance
  • Technical support and customer service

Payment terms:

  • The APC is charged only upon acceptance following peer review and editorial decision
  • No submission fees, review fees, or page charges are applied
  • Payment is required before final publication and online release

Waivers and discounts:

TJELLS is committed to ensuring that financial constraints do not prevent the publication of high-quality research. We offer:

  • Full waivers for authors from low-income countries as classified by the World Bank
  • Partial discounts (up to 50%) for authors from lower-middle-income countries and early-career researchers without institutional funding
  • Case-by-case consideration for authors facing genuine financial hardship

Waiver requests should be submitted during the submission process or immediately upon acceptance, with supporting documentation. All requests are treated confidentially and do not influence editorial decisions.

Transparency commitment:

The APC amount, payment terms, and waiver policies are clearly stated on the journal website and in all author communications, ensuring full transparency in line with DOAJ and COPE guidelines [7].
